Candidate Qualifying closes Today at Noon

There are only a few hours left to file to run for government offices. Candidate qualifying closes at noon today, March 30, for South Carolinians who want to compete in their party’s June 12, primary election. In Oconee County, those offices include Probate Judge, County Council, and State House of Representatives. It’s another story for those wanting to run for governor and other state offices such as treasurer and attorney general. The place to file for those offices is the South Carolina Election Commission in Columbia.
