Golden Corner Rotary Club hosting Tri-State Relays on Friday

Track athletes from across three states compete at Seneca High School this Friday, April 13, as part of the Golden Corner Rotary Club’s 2018 Tri- State Relays. Gates open at 4:15pm with races starting at 4:30pm. This annual event is the major fundraiser for the club that supports literacy programs including GED scholarships, donating books to children’s reading programs and sending two Seneca High School students to the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy at Erskine College in Due West. “100% of donations go toward our projects,” said Club President Jon Adams. “Supporting the Tri-State Relays is a tax deductible contribution.” The relays will feature track teams from North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. Medals will be awarded to all first, second and third place relay teams and ribbons through eighth place will be awarded as well. A team trophy will be presented to the overall top boys and girls teams. General admission is $5 and concessions including grilled and smoked hot foods and snacks will be available. The Golden Corner Rotary Club meets at 7:15am every Wednesday at Seneca Family Restaurant on Bypass 123.
