Seneca and Pioneer close to reaching Water Agreement

The City of Seneca and Pioneer Rural Water District are close to reaching a water agreement. During a special meeting on Monday, the board of directors for Pioneer unanimously approved a five-year deal with the city. Pioneer will pay the city $276,000 in base fees for 2.6 million gallons of water per month. The Seneca City Council holds a Special Called Meeting tonight, April 24, to consider the deal. If approved by council, the water agreement would end months of negotiations over a new deal.
