Attempted Murder Charge lands Seneca Man behind Bars

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Seneca man on Friday, April 27, on an outstanding warrant on a charge of attempted murder. 39-year-old Daniel Timothy Falu (AKA – Solomon Ezra and Solmon Kenzo) of Owens Road was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center. The Detention Center also has an address of Prospect Street in New York, NY in regards to Falu. On Friday, deputies responded to an address on Village Creek Circle near Seneca in regards to a welfare check on a female. Deputies made contact with an individual, who identified himself as Falu, who was on the porch of the residence. Deputies also made contact with the female at the residence who told deputies that she was okay and not hurt. Deputies were also notified that the subject on the porch went by the name of Solomon and matched the description of an individual, which deputies had prior knowledge of as having an arrest warrant with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office. After detaining the subject, a search of his person produced a quantity of what appeared to be cocaine in one of his pockets. Deputies were able to place Falu under arrest after verifying his identity on the attempted murder charge. Deputies also charged Falu with possession of cocaine as well. The attempted murder charge against Falu stems from an incident at a different address on Owens Road near Seneca in which deputies responded during the early morning hours of April 12, in regards to a reported assault in which the victim was beaten and suffered a laceration to a portion of the head. The suspect left the scene before deputies arrived. The victim was treated by paramedics on the scene and was airlifted to the hospital for further treatment. Falu remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center as he was denied bond on the attempted murder charge and will appear before a Circuit Court Judge at a later time. Falu was given a $5,000 surety bond on the drug charge.
