Sign Up for Summer Reading at OCPL

School is almost out, and summer reading is almost here. Sign-ups at all branches of the Oconee County Public Library (OCPL) begin today, May 21, tells OCPL Director Blair Hinson. “Readers of all ages will explore all things musical and geological this summer as the OCPL presents “Libraries Rock” during the summer program. Activities will include Stranger Things Fandom night for teens, Paleontology in the 21st Century, musical crafts, art projects, I Read to Animals, Chad Crews’ Magic Show, adult book clubs, musicals, movies, and more. The program will culminate with a huge End of Summer Reading Bash at South Cove Park. The 2018 Summer Reading Program is open to all ages, preschool through adult, with programs, prizes, a reading club, and more. Families are invited to join and make it a family affair. Registration for “Libraries Rock” begins on May 21, at all OCPL branches and the Bookmobile. All programs are free of charge and do not require a library card.” For more information, visit www.oconeelibrary.org.
