Two Men arrested after execution of Search Warrant in OC

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men this week after the execution of a search warrant at an address near Seneca. Arrested were 46-year-old Danny Dewayne Orr and 55-year-old Charles Whitney Batts. Narcotics Agents obtained a search warrant for an address on White Oak Hill Drive near Seneca based upon controlled buys this year of quantities of methamphetamine from both Orr and Batts at locations inside Oconee County, including the White Oak Hill Drive address. Agents also obtained arrest warrants against both men for one count each of trafficking in methamphetamine and for distribution of methamphetamine. Batts also had an outstanding warrant for driving under suspension based upon a separate incident in April. During the execution of the search warrant, agents also seized additional narcotics and weapons from the residence on White Oak Hill Drive, which has led to additional charges against both men. Orr has also been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count each of distribution of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Batts also has been charged with one count each of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation.
