World of Energy hosting Free Summer Programs for Kids

Duke Energy’s World of Energy education center will host “Wednesdays at the World of Energy,” a series of free summer programs for children throughout June and July. Each program starts at 10am and is geared for children ages 6-12. Adult supervision is required. Program dates are June 13 (registration required), June 20 (registration required), June 27 (registration required) and July 18. Wednesdays at the World of Energy: 10am, June 13, Buddy’s Safe House sponsored by Safe Kids Upstate. Learn all about safety in the home with this interactive traveling home safety exhibit. Please register for this event. At 10am on June 20, Blast Off With Rockets by building and launching rockets with Duke Energy engineers. Each child must bring a two-liter plastic bottle (RC Cola bottles are best). Please register for this event. At 10am on June 27, All About Water as a Clemson Extension water resource agent will conduct water quality experiments with children. Get your hands wet and test different parameters to learn what’s in our water with this fun, interactive activity. Please register for this event. At 10am on July 18, join the World of Energy for a program filled with fun experiments that include tie-dying World of Energy 50th anniversary T-shirts and making slime.
