New SHS Principal is Daughter of Past Principal

One of Angela and Harry Hamilton’s daughters will move into his old seat at Seneca High School (SHS). On Wednesday, the School District of Oconee County (SDOC) announced that Felicia LeRoy will serve as the new principal at SHS. “I am honored to be named the principal of SHS, a Palmetto’s Finest High School. To be the principal of this great school in this wonderful Seneca community is humbling and I am very grateful to be granted this opportunity,” said Mrs. LeRoy, who has 29 years of experience as a teacher and administrator. She has been an assistant principal at SHS for the past nine years. Since the beginning of May, Mrs. LeRoy has served as interim principal after the departure of Cliff Roberts. LeRoy’s father, Harry, is a retired SHS principal and her mother, Angela, is a retired Seneca teacher. In addition, the SDOC announced the appointment of SHS faculty member Danielle Ivey as assistant director of the Hamilton Career Center.
