Budget Changes passed by Walhalla Council

Last night, the Walhalla City Council passed its new year capital improvement budget at $166,000, which is nearly $400,000 below that which was considered during an earlier budget workshop. Among the spending items approved were a lease for a new command truck for the fire department and a pair of new police cars. This was the Walhalla Council’s first budget reading and more amendments could be made before second and final reading of the Fiscal Year 2018-19 Budget later this month. The new budget takes effect on July 1.
