Three arrested after execution of Search Warrant

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested three subjects Tuesday afternoon after the execution of a search warrant. Agents from the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, along with members of the Sheriff’s Office SWAT team and deputies from the Civil and Warrants Division served the search warrant at 641 Lands End Road in the Seneca area. The search warrant covered the basement area of a multi-level house that serves as the main residence and a camper behind that building at the physical address on Lands End Road and was obtained due to the distribution of narcotics. Arrested in the execution of the warrant were 65-year-old Michael David Pierson, 26-year-old Lindsay Brooke Wood and 24-year-old Michael David McCann. Pierson, who resided in the basement of the multi-level house, had two outstanding warrants charging him with distribution of methamphetamine. Agents also placed a temporary custody order on Pierson due to an additional charge of possession of methamphetamine due to narcotics discovered at the scene as a result of the search warrant. The arrest warrant on that charge was obtained Wednesday. McCann was charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana while Wood was charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine in regards to narcotics found as a result of the search of the camper, where both McCann and Wood resided. “The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has received complaints of narcotics activity taking place at this address on Lands End Road and began an investigation that led to the arrests yesterday,” says Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw. “The investigation is continuing and I encourage the residents who live in this area to contact the Sheriff’s Office should they continue to see any type of illegal activity going on in this area.”
