OC Board of Zoning Appeals to meet

The Oconee County Board of Zoning Appeals meets on Monday, June 25, to consider three appeals. According to the agenda, the board will hear public comment on requests for three special exceptions to the zoning law. One is an exception to a commercial use inside the lake overlay district at 330 Summit Drive in Salem. Another involves an application for approval to sell firewood and produce from a stand in the lake overlay district at 123 Francis Falls Drive in Salem. The third is an appeal to allow temporary parking on Jocassee Lake Road to support a shuttle service for guests of Jocassee Lake Tours. The hearings start at 6pm in the Oconee County Council Chambers.
