OC EMS Members attend State Conference

Members of Oconee County’s Emergency Services Department recently attended the South Carolina Firefighters Associations’ 113th annual Fire-Rescue Conference. Oconee County Deputy Chief of Emergency Management and Special Operations Scott Krein said this offered numerous training opportunities. “We had the opportunity to go down to Columbia to take some classes and see a lot of different opportunities for us to learn in equipment and also the opportunity to learn from our peers at the state. It also allowed us to be a part of education in furthering fire services within South Carolina.” 41 emergency officials from Oconee County attended the Friday session and 25 were in attendance on Saturday with county vehicles provided for transportation to Columbia and back.
