Excitement growing about Oconee Campus of TCTC

Everyone is getting excited about Tri-County Technical College’s (TCTC) new 37,000-square-foot Oconee Campus, says Orientation Coordinator Katie Beeson. “We are extremely excited. Officially the campus will be open in early August, but or first day of classes is Aug. 20. It is located at the Oconee Industry and Technology Park at 552 Education Way in Westminster. We are going to have tons of different program opportunities there and this campus is going to provide so much more accessibility and flexibility for students in the Oconee County area. It is going to meet a lot of different industry needs and for students who might not be able to travel to our Easley, Anderson or Pendleton campuses, but now this will be an option in Oconee County.” Beeson tells more about the program and course offerings at the new Oconee Campus. “So, a lot of different program offerings, some examples are the first two semesters of Industrial Electronics Technology, Mechatronics, Technical Operator 1 and 2 (Certificate), CNC Programming and Operations (Degree), Manufacturing Management and Leadership (Degree), Business Administration (first year – core curriculum) and University Studies (Certificate). Corporate and Community Education offerings include South Carolina Manufacturing Certification, CNC Machine Operator Training, Mechatronics and other career certificates such as ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing and OSHA. In addition, high school students can enroll in technical career pathways classes as well as dual enrollment (university transfer) courses.” Registration is underway for fall semester classes, so contact the Admissions Office on the main campus at 864-646-1500.
