OC Sheriff’s Office and Seneca PD executes Operation Opioid Battle

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office and the Seneca Police Department executed two search warrants on Tuesday in the Seneca area in relation to “Operation Opioid Battle”, explains Jimmy Watt, Public Information Officer for the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office. “The search warrants were executed at two separate locations, one on Brookwood Drive near Seneca and the other on Daniel Avenue inside the city limits of Seneca. The search warrants were obtained based upon the controlled purchases of narcotics from both locations by Narcotics Agents of both agencies, which involved the purchase of heroin as well as methamphetamine. In all, eight individuals were arrested as part of the execution of the search warrants. Both agencies are continuing their investigations.” Arrested in the operation were 56-year-old Phillip Cobb of Seneca for two counts of distribution of methamphetamine, one count of distribution of heroin and one count of possession of methamphetamine; 32-year-old Sherry Nicole McAlister of Seneca on a Seneca Municipal Bench Warrant; 32-year-old Phillip Rodney Smith of West Union for three counts of distribution of heroin, one count of trafficking in methamphetamine and one count of distribution of methamphetamine; 27-year-old Tyler Scott McMahan of Seneca for one count of distribution of heroin and one count of possession of heroin; 32-year-old Joseph Eugene Willoughby of Seneca for one count of possession of methamphetamine and one count of possession of a stolen weapon; 25-year-old Brandon Paul Anderson of Seneca for one count of possession of heroin; 26-year-old Carleen Renee Defabbio of Piedmont for one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and one count of possession of a controlled substance; and 30-year-old Cassie Marie Wright of Tamassee for one count of possession of marijuana.
