SEEKING GRANT MONEY AT THE STATE CAPITAL

One week from today an Oconee delegation, led by the county grants writer, will descend on Columbia in search of grant money to help pay for three utility projects across the county. 101.7/WGOG NEWS has learned that making the Columbia August 13 trip besides grants writer Sharon DeRidder will be representatives of engineering companies, officials from Salem and Walhalla, and at least two members of county council—Edda Cammick and Glenn Hart. Cammick said today the purpose will be to make presentations in support of Sewer South, the Salem highway 11 water line project, and the water line project at the county Information and Technology Park on highway 11.
