OC Sheriff’s Office executes Search Warrant

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office recently executed a search warrant in the Seneca area and arrested a suspect with outstanding arrest warrants due to narcotics activity. Agents with the Narcotics Division along with deputies from the Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, Warrants and Civil Division served the search warrant at an address on Raceway Drive just off Shiloh Road. 29-year-old James Michael Turner of the Raceway Drive address was arrested as a result of the execution of the search warrant. Turner had two outstanding arrest warrants related to the controlled purchase of marijuana by Narcotics Agents from the Raceway Drive address. Turner was released from the Oconee County Detention Center on a combined $20,000 personal recognizance bond. According to Lt. Jeremy Chapman from the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, a juvenile who was located at the residence was removed from the home and placed with a family member after deputies contacted the Department of Social Services. Also, according to Lt. Chapman, an 82-year-old male, who was also located at the residence, was referred to Adult Protective Services with DSS. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation.
