Highway 188 reopens ahead of Projection

Highway 188 reopened hours earlier than expected this morning after a truck crashed last night around 10pm spilling paint used for lines on roads at Clyde Crenshaw Road in Seneca, tells Lance Corporal Joe Hovis, Community Relations Officer for Troop 3 of the South Carolina Highway Patrol. “The estimate that I got around 12:30am this morning that it would probably be around 3pm and so we were expecting to do detours and have the road closed up until at least around that time. DHEC came in and the clean up crews came in and they got it done, so kudos to them on a great job. Highway 188 is back open, so the afternoon school traffic should be back to normal, you won’t have to worry taking the detours and they can be safe that way without having to take all those detours.” Highway 188 reopened just before 8am.
