Graham statement on passage of Multiple Funding Bills

Last week, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) voted in favor of the appropriations package which funds the Department of Defense, the Department of Labor, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Education, and related agencies. It was passed by a vote of 85-7. Senator Graham said, “I’m very pleased that the Senate has approved this appropriations package that increases defense funding and continues to repair the damage caused by deep defense cuts. This legislation increases military pay, readiness, and provides new equipment to help the war fighter. This appropriations package also includes increased funding for the National Institutes of Health, a terrific organization for public health. With the passage of nine out of the twelve appropriations bills by the end of August, we have made significant progress funding the federal government before October, and it’s the first time we have hit this goal since 1999.”
