Jared coordinating TCTC’s New Oconee Campus

The new Oconee Campus of Tri-County Technical College (TCTC) is now serving students in the 37,000-square-foot campus at the Oconee Industry and Technology Park in Westminster. Before the campus opened, Tim Jared was named the Oconee Campus Coordinator, tells Rebecca Eidson, Director of Public Relations and Communications at TCTC. “We’re really excited about that, he’s going to be a wonderful campus director. He knows the Oconee County community, he has a passion for technical college education and I think you are really going to enjoy him as an ambassador for TCTC in Oconee County.” In this managerial role, Jared will oversee daily operations and support resources for students, as well as faculty and staff. The new Oconee Campus of TCTC is in an ideal location, adds Eidson. “We have put this beautiful new campus in that beautiful Oconee Industry and Technology Park where Baxter Industries is now located and even better in two years we are going to have the high school career center right next door to us.” Credit program offerings include the first two semesters of Industrial Electronics Technology, Mechatronics, Technical Operator 1 and 2, CNC Programming and Operations, Manufacturing Management and Leadership, Business Administration and University Studies. Corporate and Community Education offerings include South Carolina Manufacturing Certification, CNC Machine Operator Training, Mechatronics and other career certificates such as ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing and OSHA. In addition, high school students can enroll in technical career pathways classes as well as dual enrollment or university transfer courses. To learn more, visit www.tctc.edu.
