Scott praises the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin

U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) released the following statement on Thursday, Aug. 23, after the U.S. Senate passed a bipartisan resolution honoring the great singer, Aretha Franklin. “Aretha Franklin was a visionary. Her music inspired change, stirred hearts and minds, and influenced generations to come,” said Senator Scott. “We lost the Queen of Soul, but Heaven gained the voice of an angel.
