Belk celebrating Grand Re-Opening in Seneca

A grand re-opening of the Belk store in Seneca is planned for 9:30am on Friday, Sept. 7. The first 100 customers in line at the store will receive a gift card ranging from $5-$500, 25% off their purchase, and refreshments to enjoy with their neighbors. Belk is on a journey to reimagine the department store, so over the last two years the retailer has invested more than $70 million to continue growing and delivering new and refreshed stores. This grand re-opening will celebrate Belk as a fixture in the Seneca community for nearly 80 years, with the first store in Seneca opening in 1939. The Belk in Seneca received updates including new carpet and paint, tile floors, restroom and fitting room upgrades and LED lighting. Beginning Sept. 27, this refreshed store will also feature an open-sell shoe layout, so customers can touch and feel products and not have to track down an associate to find their size. The retailer is doubling down on their commitment to the Seneca community with a $5,000 donation to Hospice of the Foothills in Oconee County. This donation will be made through Belk: Project Hometown, which is a five-year, $15 million commitment to lift-up southern communities and help families thrive. The Belk in Seneca is located in the Applewood Shopping Center at 285 Applewood Center Place.
