Francis Marion National Forest closes Campgrounds ahead of Hurricane

To ensure the safety of the public, visitors and employees, the Francis Marion National Forest has decided to close down all campgrounds and recreation areas until further notice. Forest leadership has been watching the National Weather Service’s forecasts in making their decision and will notify the public following the path of Hurricane Florence when it’s safe to return to the forest. This will include the temporary suspension of creating reservations on www.recreation.gov. For more information on the Francis Marion National Forest, visit www.fs.usda.gov/scnfs.
