Rosa Clark Clinic receives Federal Grant

The Rosa Clark Medical Clinic in Seneca has received a federal grant worth $337,400. This money is part of a nearly $5 million award to 15 community health centers in South Carolina by the Department of Health and Human Services. These funds are meant to ensure continued access to quality primary health care services in areas affected by hurricanes. Most of what’s called “CARE” grant funds for Rosa Clark will be used to renovate the building on South Oak Street in Seneca in order to accommodate dental services. Oconee County has given permission to renovate the property for a dental clinic to offer services to children and adults on a sliding fee scale. In January of 2017, the Rosa Clark Medical Clinic in Seneca became a Federally Qualified Health Center, which gave it access to more funding opportunities such as this latest grant.
