Contract awarded to re-wire Lunney Museum

The Seneca City Council accepted the low bid on a project to re-wire the Lunney House Museum at their meeting Tuesday night. Seneca City Administrator Scott Moulder gives details. “If you recall previously I notified you that we had some significant electrical issues that were identified in the Lunney Museum. We’ve received a couple of quotes to perform the replacement of that aged electrical wiring. The first bid came in at $19,000 from Advanced Electrical Services Inc. of Seneca and the other bid we received locally was from Contracting Decors for $44,423.60. So, if council and the mayor sees fit in proceeding with the replacement of that aged wiring, we recommend the approval of $19,000 expenditure to Advanced Electrical Services Inc. of Seneca.” Earlier this year, the museum on South 1st Street in Seneca was forced to close for safety reasons associated with the wiring of the electrical system.
