Wayfinding Signs being installed in OC

Wayfinding signage is being installed this month throughout Oconee County. These signs will make it easier for visitors and locals alike to find fun attractions in the Golden Corner of South Carolina. Oconee Economic Alliance Interim Executive Director and Destination Oconee Manager Janet Hartman gives an update on the project to advertise museums, parks and other sites in Oconee County. “As I have stepped into Interim Executive Director, our Destination Oconee is still alive and well, lots going on there as well. We have the wayfinding signage. I think there is 127 signs that will be placed. The first of those has been placed, right on Highway 123 coming in from Clemson and that identifies that you are entering Oconee County and the assets that folks can look for as far as the Regional Scenic Highway. So, that is just an example of what is going to be taking place throughout the county. Those sign placements will be happening throughout October. You will see them in the downtowns as well as out on the county highways.” These wayfinding signs will be specific to each city, town and area complete with logos and branding to complement what the county has done to make it easier for visitors and locals to find their destinations and maybe visit other attractions as well.
