Man sentenced to 27 Years for Attempted Murder

Attacks by a husband on his wife and on a second man are sending the husband to prison, the result of guilty pleas in the Oconee General Sessions Court. Jonathan William Duncan pleaded guilty to attempted murder, domestic violence second offense, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Assistant Solicitor Beth Blundy said Duncan “flipped out” after his wife had a relationship with another man. He then choked and threw his wife against a wall and used a knife to slash the throat of a second man, who lost his eye as the result of a stab wound. The crimes occurred in June of 2016. Duncan was sentenced to prison for 27 years.
