The Oconee County Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department will be one of the over 70 local businesses at today’s, Oct. 18, 2018, Home, Health and Life Expo presented by 94.1 The Lake. Oconee County Parks, Recreation and Tourism Director Phil Shirley gives details. “Its another opportunity for us to showcase who we are and highlight the 150 Things To Do brochure and the Passport to Arts, History and Culture of the county. So, looking forward to that, thank you for putting that on, it’s always fun. We really look forward to that event, being able to highlight those items as well as socialize and talk a little about Oconee County.” Shirley tells more about the 150 Things To Do and Passport to Arts, History and Culture brochures. “We ordered a second batch of both of these pieces of literature and you can get them at the Oconee Heritage Center as well as the county parks. We are holing a number back just for the expo and then once that is over we will certainly have some for the rest of the year. We also have some at Pine Street and a number of other places that we have put them out for the public. So, get those it looks like a passport, when you see it you can’t miss it and just start checking those things off. As we go through the fall, we’re busy but everybody has some down time to check out some of those things.” Admission to the Home, Health and Life Expo is free and it takes place at the Shaver Recreation Center, which is located at 698 West South 4th Street in Seneca.
