Trick or Treat in Downtown Clemson Tonight

Tonight, Oct. 30, 2018, from 4-6pm, kids are invited to trick-or-treat in downtown Clemson. The city is hosting a Downtown Halloween Festival and Trick or Treat event on College Avenue. Clemson Mayor JC Cook invites everyone to this free, safe, kid-friendly event. “That has been on-going now for close to 20 years and it gets bigger and better every year. It is a good safe way for parents to bring their children out to downtown and let them do their trick-or-treating in a safe environment. The Clemson Police Department closes off the road, so there is no traffic and parents can turn their kids loose on downtown. All the merchants just enjoy giving away candy to all the kids and seeing their costumes. A big thank you to all the merchants and the police department for all they do to make that a fun, safe day.” During the event, College Avenue will be blocked off to vehicular traffic thus allowing kids to safely trick-or-treat.
