Weather provides Tricks and Treats in OC

Rain fell through the night in Oconee County and at her weather station in Walhalla, Official U.S. Weather Observer Barbara Wilson recorded these figures. “Last night, we received .79, which is more than predicted, I believe, with a high yesterday of 69 and a low of 54.” Wilson gives the weather readings recorded in October. “During October we had a total of 5.15 inches of precipitation, which is a good month. The highest temperatures in the month was 88 degrees on several days, Oct. 5, and Oct. 8. Then the lowest temperature was toward the end of the month, a 35 degree day on the last day of October.” Rainfall amounts and temperature readings may differ where you live; Wilson recorded these figures from her weather station in Walhalla, which is about one-mile from the county seat.
