Oconee History Museum And Community Emergency Response Team To Host Free Disaster History Event Next Thursday

(Seneca, SC)——————–        Next Thursday night, March 14th at 6pm, the Oconee History Museum, in partnership with CERT, or the Community Emergency Response Team, will host a free program that will discuss the history of natural and man made disasters in Oconee County. With details, here is the Director and Curator of the Oconee History Museum, Leslie Hagerty. 

After Leslie discusses the history of the disasters that have affected Oconee County in the past, members of the Community Emergency Response Team will discuss how citizens can better prepare themselves in the event of disasters that may happen in the future.

Also, Oconee County Emergency Director Scott Krein says that CERT training is being offered next week at the Emergency Operations Center at 300 South Church Street in Walhalla. The training will be held from Monday thru Thursday from 9am until 5pm each day and that will include a lunch break.
