Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Greenville Man Late Last Week After Pursuit

(Seneca, SC)————————The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Greenville man late last week on multiple charges. 27 year old Kelsey Jamale Jeter was involved in a pursuit with a deputy after the deputy attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle that Jeter was driving due to a traffic violation and an expired tag. The pursuit began on the Utica Mill Hill and continued onto Wells Highway, eventually coming to a conclusion when the vehicle that Jeter was driving struck a power pole and came to a stop in a business parking lot. 

As the investigation continued, deputies discovered a rifle lying on the ground on the passenger side of the vehicle. A check with dispatch revelaed that the rifle was reported stolen out of Greenville County. Deputies also discovered that Jeter’s license was suspended as well. After Jeter was transported to the hospital, deputies also discovered a quantity of narcotics inside of the vehicle. After Jeter was released from the hospital, deputies placed Jeter under arrest and charged him with one count each of Driving Under Suspension, Failure to Stop for a Blue Light, Receiving Stolen Goods in regards to possession of the stolen AR-15 rifle and Possession of Marijuana.
