World Famous Clemson Blue Cheese Recognized During 2019 United States Championship Cheese Contest

(Seneca, SC)————–The world famous Clemson Blue Cheese has made its mark in the state known for its cheese. Clemson’s blue cheese placed fourth in the 2019 United States Championship Cheese Contest that was held recently in Green Bay, Wisconsin. 

According to a press release from Clemson University, there were 2,555 entries in the 116 classes of cheese in this year’s contest. Clemson Blue Cheese has been around originally since 1941 when it was then cured in Stumphouse Mountain Tunnel here is Oconee County. All blue cheese manufacturing and curing moved to the Clemson University campus in 1958.
