Seneca Police Department Arrests Six Late Last Week In Relation To Drug Investigations

(Seneca, SC)——————–The Seneca Police Department announced several arrests late last week in relation to investigations regarding illegal drug sales from two separate locations, one on Daniel Avenue and one from a motel on the Highway 123 by-pass. The narcotics sales are unrelated to each other, according to information provided by Seneca Police Chief John Covington. 

Late last week, officers from the Seneca Police Department executed search warrants at both locations that were based on controlled buys of narcotics by undercover operatives working at the direction of the Seneca Police Department. In total, six suspects were placed under arrest and transported to the Oconee County Detention Center on charges either related to the initial drug buys or as a result of the execution of the search warrants. 

According to information provided by the Seneca Police Department based on those arrested, the suspects arrested were 54 year old John Henry Gambrell, Jr. on two counts of Distribution of Methamphetamine and one count of Possession of Methamphetamine, 54 year old Christine Lee Barnum on one count of Possession of Methamphetamine, 46 year old Crystal Dale Mejias on two counts of Distribution of Methamphetamine and one count of Possession of Methamphetamine, 63 year old Teresa Gayle Riley on one count of Possession of Methamphetamine, 43 year old Kevin Damont Rucker on one count of Distribution of Methamphetamine and one count of Possession of Methamphetamine and 40 year old Charles Phillip Davis on one count each of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin and Possession of a Controlled Substance. 

All of the subjects have Seneca addresses.
