Oconee County Council Continues To Move Forward With Economic Development

(Seneca, SC)————————In other news from last night’s Oconee County Council meeting, Council approved the purchase of a 2019 Ford F-450 truck for Oconee County Emergency Services that will be used as a special rescue team vehicle. 

Also, Council went into executive session to discuss several items, including two economic development matters. Council did not take any action in regards to any item discussed in executive session. County Council Chairman Davis did not provide a timetable regarding when some economic development announcements may be forthcoming but Davis did say that Council is moving forward with economic development in Oconee County. 

Davis says that there is a lot of interest in Oconee County right now and Davis said that the airport has commented about the number of people who having been coming in to visit with Oconee Economic Alliance in regards to looking at property and industrial space.
