10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office Announces Prison Sentence, Denial Of Bond This Week In Court

(Seneca, SC)—————The 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office as announced that 51 year old Mickey Cox of Seneca pled guilty in General Sessions Court to two counts of Trafficking in Methamphetamine. One of the cases was investigated by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office while the other case was investigated by the Seneca Police Department. According to Deputy Solicitor Lindsey Simmons, Mr. Cox, who is a repeat offender, was sentenced to 15 years suspended to 10 years in prison followed by five year probation. Cox will not be eligible for parole. 

Also, Deputy Solicitor Simmons shared that murder defendant Dacota Castle Brown was denied bond earlier this week. Brown has been charged by the Seneca Police Department with one count each of Murder, Possession of a Weapon During Commission of a Violent Crime and First Degree Burglary in regards to the break-in of a residence on Maple Avenue in Seneca and the murder of 73 year old Geraldine M. Castle of Walhalla earlier this year.
