U.S. Army Corps Of Engineers Announced Opening Of Ten Campground And Day Use Areas Beginning Today

(Seneca, SC)————————–The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has announced that beginning today, 10 campgrounds or day use areas at Hartwell Dam and Lake will open for the recreations season. In South Carolina, those areas are Coneross Campground, Oconee Point Campground and Friendship Day-Use Area in Oconee County, River Forks Day-Use Area and Weldon Island Day-Use Area in Anderson County and Twin Lakes Day-Use Area in Pickens County. In Northeast Georgia, those areas are Georgia River Campground, Payne’s Creek Campground, Elrod Ferry Day-Use Area in Hart County and Poplar Springs Day-Use Area in Franklin County. 

Visitors can make reservations for campsites and picnic shelters located within day-use areas by calling Recreation One Stop toll-free at 877-444-6777 or online at www.Recreation.gov.
