Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Townville Woman And Easley Man On Trafficking In Methamphetamine Charges

(Seneca, SC)——-The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Townville woman and an Easley man late last week on charges of Trafficking in Methamphetamine. 

39 year old Jennifer Jenkins Cobb and 31 year old Charles Edward Thrift, Sr. were arrested after a deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop late last Wednesday evening after witnessing the vehicle make several traffic violations. 

The deputy attempted the traffic stop on Highway 182 but the driver refused to pull over and a pursuit began that eventually ended on Church Yard Road. 

According to the case report, Cobb was the driver and Thrift, Sr. was a passenger in the front seat of the vehicle, a gray Nissan Sentra with a Florida tag. 

A subsequent search of the vehicle produced a quantity of Methamphetamine. Both Cobb and Thrift, Sr. were charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine. Cobb was also charged with Failure to Stop for a Blue Thrift.
