Autopsy On Discovered Human Remains Proves Inconclusive, According To Coroner’s Office

(Seneca, SC)———An autopsy was performed yesterday morning on a body that was discovered in a creek adjacent to Beech Drive in Seneca earlier this week. Coroner Karl Addis says that the remains are associated with the other remains found at Asbury Drive.

According to Coroner Addis, the results of the autopsy were inconclusive and did not provide a cause of death. Also, there was no word in the release from the Coroner Office on identification of the deceadant as the deceased had no teeth and that appeared to be the case for awhile, according to Coroner Addis.

The Coroner’s Office says that the remains were discovered in an advanced state of decomposition.

Coroner Addis says that further anthropology studies will be required to assist with the death investigation.

The Coroner said the deceased was found to be wearing an athletic type sports bra, however, further information on the size and color of the clothing were not released by the Coroner’s Office or the Seneca Police Department.

The Coroner’s office is awaiting information regarding DNA testing as well.
