Clemson City Police Charges Seneca Man With Attempted Murder In Reported Drive-By Shooting Incident

(Seneca, SC)——-The Clemson City Police Department arrested a Seneca man on multiple charges, including a charge of Attempted Murder, after what Clemson Police described as a drive-by shooting incident.

25 year old Gemonte Lewis Gibson has also been charged with Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime and Bringing Contraband into a Jail.

According to a press release from Clemson Chief of Police Jimmy Dixon, Clemson PD received a call around 6am yesterday morning of shots fired at the Clemson Motel on Old Greenville Highway.

Upon arriving on scene, officers discovered one victim had been shot in the leg.  The victim was transported to the hospital by paramedics with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

When officers arrived, the suspects had already left the scene; however, the suspects were located at a later time in the Townville area by deputies from the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Chief Dixon, the incident appeared to stem from a domestic situation that escalated to the shots being fired.

Two Townville women have also been charged in the incident as well.  48 year old Jenny Lynn Rich and 27 year old Audrina Marie Rich have been charged with Accessory to a Felony, according to Chief Dixon.
