SLED Charges Former Pickens County Detention Center Officer With Criminal Sexual Conduct With A Minor
(Seneca, SC)——-The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division late last week arrested a former Pickens County Detention Center officer in connection with the sexual assault of an eight year old child.
50 year old Raymond Wade Whitmire was charged with one count of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor – First Degree.
The SLED investigation was requested by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office and the case will be prosecuted by the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
According to the arrest warrant obtained by a SLED agent, the incident occurred on February 19th of this year at a home inside Pickens County.
