Anderson County Announces Beginning Of Jackson Street Project

(Seneca, SC)———–Anderson County has announced that the Jackson Street project, which will provide a sidewalk between Hillside Drive and the rear entrance of Westside High School, is now underway.

According to a press release from Anderson County, the project is scheduled to be completed at or before the scheduled completion date of November 30th.  The project is also on schedule for completion of work requiring a lane closure by August 17th.

The project has an estimated total construction cost of $500,000 and is funded through a federal grant program called the Transportation Alternatives Program which includes a local 20% match from Anderson County.
