Duke Energy Foundation Awards Grant To Tri-County Technical College For Marketing Program

(Seneca, SC)—–The Duke Energy Foundation has awarded more than $150,000 in grants to four South Carolina organizations to fund strategic initiatives that will help to enhance and diversify the energy industry’s workforce of tomorrow, according to a release from Duke Energy.

Among the organizations to receive grants was Tri-County Technical College.  According to the release, the grant to Tri-County will support a marketing program aimed at increasing the number of women, minorities and veterans pursuing engineering and mechatronics degrees.

The Duke Energy Foundation contributes more than $30 million dollars annually in charitable gifts and is funded by Duke Energy shareholders.
