Seneca Police Department Arrests Two Men On Burglary Charges Related To Incident At Our Daily Rest

(Seneca, SC)—The Seneca Police Department has arrested a Seneca man and Linden, TN man on First Degree Burglary charges related to an incident at Our Daily Rest. 

23 year old Robert Wesley Quarles II and 18 year old Dylan Trevor Bernard were booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on Wednesday afternoon. 

According to arrest warrants, the two are accused of breaking into and entering the dwelling of the Our Daily Rest location on East Main Street during the early morning hours of August 28th. 

According to the incident report, an employee of the shelter discovered bicycles missing from the shelter. 

As the investigation continued, officers located the Bernard subject with a blue and black bicycle and whose description matched that of a person seen in surveillance video from shelter. 

The second subject, Quarles II, was located by officers later Wednesday walking on N. Cherry Street at East Main Street. 

Officers attempted to arrest Quarles II, however, the suspect resisted and attempted to flee, upon which Quarles II and officers fell through the plate glass window of a business. 

The officers involved sustained minor injuries, according to Seneca Police Chief John Covington. 

The investigation is continuing and more charges are expected to be forthcoming, according to Chief Covington.
