Clemson Police Announce Charges AGainst Two Men In Recent Vehicle BreakIn investigation

(Seneca, SC)—–The Clemson Police Department issued a press releaase yesterday announcing the arrest of two subjects in regards to vehicle breakins and the theft of one vehicle from The Ridge Apartments which are located off Issaqueena Trail in Clemson that occurred on August 27th.

According to the release, 19 year old Jamerio Shiyiem Groves and 27 year old Anija Davonnte Walker, both of Anderson, have each been charged with 23 counts of Breaking and Entering into an Auto, four counts of Petit Larceny and one count of Grand Larceny.

Clemson PD reports that a total of 25 vehicles were broken into as well as the theft of one vehicle. The vehicles that were broken into were unlocked.

The stolen vehicle was recovered in Anderson County, where Groves and Walker were both arrested.

According to the release, the town of Pendleton experienced auto breaking the same night and Anderson County located two individuals committing auto breaking within their county.

The Clemson Police Department is strongly encouraging individuals to lock their vehicles where they are away from them.

Both subjects were given $120,000 surety bonds and are currently being held at the Anderson County Detention Center.
