Oconee County Council To hold regularly Scheduled Council Meeting tonight at 6pm

(Seneca, SC)————–Oconee County Council will hold their regularly scheduled council meeting tonight at 6pm in Council Chambers on Pine Street in Walhalla.

Among the items on the agenda will include a request for council to approve a grant for 1st year funding for one Special Traffic Enforcement Unit deputy as well as approval to purchase three new Dodge Durango SUV’s to replace high mileage vehicles currently be used for Sheriff’s Office operations.

Council will also go into executive session to receive legal advice concerning a moratorium or prohibition on future billboard construction as well as discussion of two economic development matters.

Before tonight’s Council meeting, the Transportation Committee will hold a meeting at 4pm in Council Chambers, which will be followed by a Special Workshop Meeting with County Council and the Planning Department concerning the Highway 123 Corridor Study.
