DHEC COVID-19 Numbers Update

On Monday, the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) announced 135 new cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, and 8 additional deaths. This brings the total number of people confirmed to have COVID-19 in South Carolina to 6,757 and those who have died to 283. Six of those deaths occurred in elderly individuals; two were middle-aged. One new positive case was confirmed in Oconee County on Monday, and one new case was also confirmed in Pickens County.
