Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Seeks the Public’s Help Regarding Stolen Camper Investigation

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help today regarding an investigation into a camper that was stolen from a location near Westminster.

A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division was dispatched to a storage facility at 2252 Sandifer Boulevard between Seneca and Westminster during the evening hours of June 4th in reference to a report of suspicious vehicles.  Upon arriving on scene, the deputy was able to verify that the vehicles on scene were authorized to be on the property.  The deputy, while on scene, was notified by dispatch that an individual wanted to report a larceny of his camper from the same location.

The deputy spoke with the victim, who stated that he parked his white in color 2003 Keystone 29 RLS camper, with a South Carolina tag of KT77592, in the parking lot of the business on February 17th of this year.  The victim said that was the last time he saw the camper.  The victim was in the area on June 4th and wanted to view his camper, however, the victim told the deputy that he did not see the camper in the parking lot.

The victim said that the management of the facility told him that the camper had not been moved.  The case was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division of the Sheriff’s Office.  The Vehicle Identification Number for the camper has been entered into the National Crimes Information Center database.
