Traffic Signal Being Replaced Monday in Seneca

For likely the entire day on Monday, be advised that the South Carolina Department of Transportation will be closing the intersection of Main and North Townville Streets and Ram Cat Alley in order to remove the existing traffic signal and to replace it with a flashing red light, thus transforming the intersection into a four-way stop. The change is based on traffic studies that have concluded the location would be better served by a four-way stop. The intersection is where the City of Seneca is putting the stage on Thursday nights this summer for Jazz on the Alley in an effort to provide more room for social distancing.
