Local Churches to Host Unity Event

Anderson County, S.C. (June 12, 2020) – Let Justice Roll Down: Standing Together in Equality,” a community wide event aimed at unity and healing is scheduled for Saturday, June 13 at 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Anderson Civic Center.

The event is a coordinated effort between the Rev. Ankoma Anderson, Pastor of Welfare Baptist Church, and the Rev. Austin Carty, Pastor of Boulevard Baptist Church. Other local pastors and leaders will be involved and Anderson County is assisting with logistics for the location. 

Anderson City Councilwoman Beatrice Thompson will speak on the criminal justice system. 

 

AnMed Vice President Michael Cunningham will speak on health care issues.

Lynn Dingle, owner of LD Marketing Group, will speak on economic inequality.

The event is free and the public is invited.
