Oconee County Tops 100 Cases of COVID-19: Latest Numbers Update from DHEC

South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) announced 987 new confirmed cases and nine new probable cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, and four additional confirmed deaths. This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 21,533, probable cases to 15, confirmed deaths to 621, and zero probable deaths. Three of the deaths occurred in elderly individuals and one was a middle aged person. Oconee County added five cases on Thursday, Anderson saw 14 new cases and Pickens County confirmed 19 new positive cases on Thursday. Oconee County has reached the mark of 100 cases confirmed since the pandemic began. Anderson and Pickens Counties are at over 400 after numbers from Thursday are added to already existing total confirmed positive cases.
